EILEEN MENZEL
The theme of all my work is opposites attract. My subject matter is two-fold: exploring the opposition of the man-made vs. the natural elements in landscapes for the 21st century and contrasting tensions of walled spaces in which we live in.

The theme of all my work is opposites attract. My subject matter is two-fold: exploring the opposition of the man-made vs. the natural elements in landscapes for the 21st century and contrasting tensions of walled spaces in which we live in.
I carry through with opposites in such ways as combines naturalism and abstraction, the golden section for composition and in complementary colours. But most importantly it’s in the transformation of light and shadows for the drama and the emotional atmosphere of the creative life.
