About Laura
Laura is a fine artist born in Toronto, Ontario. She moved to Mississauga 30 years ago to raise her family. She began as a decorative wall painter in the 1990s, but a health issue at the time pointed her to what has become a life-long passion for Chinese Brush Painting. Unlike any art form that Laura has known, Chinese Brush Painting provides tranquility, as well as infinite opportunities to learn.
Laura is an internationally recognized Chinese Brush Painter and is an official member of the Sumi-E Artists of Canada. She paints impressions of the Canadian landscape while respecting this ancient art form.
Laura’s art is sold in China and throughout Canada. She will be exhibiting her work in various Chinese cities in August and September 2018.
Laura is the MAC (Mississauga Arts Council) 2017 Marty’s winner for Established Fine Artist.
