Born and raised in Toronto, Shirley Radebach attended art college in the mid-eighties and makes her living as an artist, photographer and freelance graphic designer.
Travel from an early age exposed her to different cultures and customs revealing many perspectives from which to view life.
With a fondness for multiplicity and a lack of impulse control, she is inspired by music, mystery, memories and man-made inventions. Shirley’s day to day observations of what might seem trivial to others are the inspiration for her next project.

Travel from an early age exposed her to different cultures and customs revealing many perspectives from which to view life.
“My mother’s telephone doodles were the first sketches and renderings I saw. There are some genuine creative people in my family.”
With a fondness for multiplicity and a lack of impulse control, she is inspired by music, mystery, memories and man-made inventions. Shirley’s day to day observations of what might seem trivial to others are the inspiration for her next project.
Her technique and a preference for staying inside the lines produce meticulous and simple, glamourous pieces.
